Tiro is designed to be an intelligent voice assistant, offering features such as speech recognition, emotion analysis, text rewriting, and instant translation. We strictly adhere to data protection regulations to ensure your personal information is handled securely and transparently.
2. Information Collection and Use
2.1 User Content (Audio & Text)
To provide our core AI-powered features, we process the audio you record and the text you input or generate.
- Voice & Emotion Processing: We process your voice data to convert it into text (ASR) and analyze acoustic features for Emotion Recognition. This audio processing is strictly used to deliver the requested assistant features.
- Text Rewriting & Translation: Your text inputs and recognized speech are processed by Large Language Models (LLMs) to provide intelligent rewriting, summarization, and translation.
- Account & Meeting Minutes: To access advanced features like long-term meeting minutes, you are required to register a user account. However, adhering to our data minimization principles, the actual generated transcripts and meeting records are stored exclusively locally on your device. We do not upload, sync, or store your private meeting content on our cloud servers.
2.2 Device Permissions
To enable cross-platform interactions and core functionalities, Tiro requires the following permissions:
- Microphone: Required to capture your voice for speech-to-text, emotion recognition, and voice interaction.
- Speech Recognition: Used to convert your spoken words into text using system frameworks.
- Accessibility / System Events: To provide the "auto-paste" feature, the App requires permission to insert generated text into other applications on your behalf. We only use this permission to output text; we do not read, record, or collect any data from your screen or other applications. You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time in your device Settings.
2.3 Diagnostics Data
We may collect anonymous crash reports and performance data to help us improve the App's stability and AI model integration. This data is not linked to your personal identity.
3. Third-Party AI Services
We utilize advanced third-party AI services to facilitate translation, rewriting, and emotion analysis:
- AI Providers (e.g., OpenAI, DeepL, Google Cloud): We securely transmit text/audio data to these providers to obtain high-quality generation and translation results. They are not authorized to use your data for personal identification or to train their foundation models with your personal data.
- System Frameworks: We may use native OS frameworks (like Apple Speech) to process voice inputs locally.
4. Data Retention
- Transient Data: For instant voice interactions and quick translations, your audio data is sent to AI engines solely for generating a result and is discarded immediately after processing.
- Account Data: Your basic account registration information (e.g., email address) is securely retained on our servers as long as your account is active.
- Saved Records: Because meeting minutes and translation histories are stored locally, they are retained only as long as you choose to keep them on your device. You can clear this data at any time by managing it within the App or deleting Tiro from your device.
5. Children's Privacy
Tiro does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
